There is something profoundly moving about imagining Yeshua as He walked the dusty roads of Galilee. He knew their names. He saw their struggles. He met them where they were.

In Scripture, Hagar encountered God in the wilderness and gave Him the name El Roi—“the God who sees me” (Genesis 16:13). Alone, rejected, and uncertain of her future, she discovered that she was not forgotten. The God of Israel had seen her affliction and heard her cry.

Throughout my own journey, there have been seasons when that truth became deeply personal. During years of crisis, heartbreak, and fervent prayer for my family, I often returned to the comforting reality that nothing was hidden from His sight. Every tear, every prayer whispered in the night, every hope that seemed delayed was known to Him. The One who sees is also the One who remains faithful.

The eyes in this portrait are intended to reflect that invitation. They speak of kindness without weakness, authority without harshness, and love without condition. This is Yeshua—the Son of David, the Rabbi from Galilee, the Lamb of God, and the Lion of Judah. He is the One who sees us completely and loves us fully.
