The Story Behind the Image

This prophetic artwork depicts the breathtaking wings of a heavenly angel in vibrant hues of deep blue, aqua, purple, and silver. The feathers shimmer with an otherworldly luminescence, creating a sense of protection, beauty, and divine presence. The inscription declares Psalm 91:1, 4: "I am resting in the shadow of the Almighty. He covers me with His feathers. Under His wings I find refuge."

This is my signature piece—a work that carries a profound personal encounter with the Lord and a glimpse into the throne room of heaven.

The Vision Behind the Art

This image began with a photograph of a peacock. My photo became the canvas as Holy Spirit led me to create these unique wings through digital painting in Corel Painter with a tablet and digital paintbrush. I didn't fully understand what I was creating at the time—I was simply following the leading of the Spirit, stroke by stroke, color by color.

A year later, during deep worship, the Lord gave me a throne room of heaven vision. I saw a powerful angel with silver hair worshipping Yahweh, and as he worshipped, his wings shifted from deep vibrant hues of blues, aqua, purples, and silver into transparency—back and forth, back and forth. I was amazed to realize this was the very angel whose wings I had painted a year earlier. The Lord had shown me in advance what I would later see in the Spirit.

This encounter forever changed the way I see this piece. These are not just beautiful wings—they are the wings of a worshipping angel in the throne room of God, an angel who shifts between the seen and unseen realms as he magnifies the name of Yahweh.

The Promise of Psalm 91

Psalm 91 is one of the most powerful promises of protection in all of Scripture. It declares that those who dwell in the secret place of the Most High will abide under the shadow of the Almighty. It promises that God will cover us with His feathers and that under His wings we will find refuge.

The imagery of being covered by God's feathers speaks of intimacy, safety, and tender care. Just as a mother bird gathers her chicks under her wings to protect them from danger, God covers us with His presence and shields us from harm. We are not just protected—we are held close, sheltered in the secret place, hidden in the shadow of His wings.

The vibrant colors in the wings represent the glory, majesty, and beauty of God's presence. The blues and aquas speak of the heavenly realm, the river of life, and the peace that flows from the throne. The purples speak of royalty, authority, and the kingship of Yahweh. The silver speaks of redemption, purity, and the refining fire of God's holiness.

This image is a declaration: You are covered. You are protected. You are safe under His wings. Rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
