Seven Spirits Of The Lord
There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots. The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him.
The Story Behind the Image
This prophetic artwork depicts the golden menorah with seven flames burning brightly against a deep blue background. The inscription declares Isaiah 11:1-2, revealing the seven Spirits of the Lord that rest upon the Messiah:
"There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots. The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him. The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord."
This is one of the most profound messianic prophecies in all of Scripture—a declaration of who the Messiah is and what rests upon Him.
The Rod from the stem of Jesse refers to the Messiah, Yeshua (Jesus), who came from the lineage of King David, the son of Jesse. He is the Branch that grew out of what appeared to be a dead stump—the royal line that seemed cut off but was destined to bring forth the King of Kings.
The seven flames on the menorah represent the seven Spirits of the Lord that rest upon the Messiah:
- The Spirit of the Lord — The fullness of God's presence and authority
- The Spirit of Wisdom — Divine insight and understanding of God's ways
- The Spirit of Understanding — Discernment and the ability to perceive truth
- The Spirit of Counsel — Guidance, strategy, and the ability to lead with wisdom
- The Spirit of Might — Strength, power, and the ability to overcome
- The Spirit of Knowledge — Revelation and intimate knowledge of God
- The Spirit of the Fear of the Lord — Reverence, awe, and holy alignment with God's will
These seven Spirits are not separate spirits—they are the fullness of the Holy Spirit manifested in seven distinct expressions. They rest upon the Messiah, and through Him, they are available to all who abide in Him.
The golden menorah represents the presence of God, the light of the world, and the covenant faithfulness of the Lord. The seven branches echo the seven Spirits, the seven churches in Revelation, and the completeness of God's work.
The deep blue background represents the heavenly realm, the throne room of God, and the divine origin of these Spirits. They do not come from earth—they come from heaven. They are not earned—they are given. They are not temporary—they are eternal.
This image is a declaration: The Spirit of the Lord rests upon the Messiah, and through Him, the fullness of the Spirit is available to you.
