There are seasons when life leads us through fire—places of testing, surrender, and deep refinement. This piece carries a declaration for those moments:

His gaze never leaves you.

The Image

This prophetic artwork reveals the Lion of Judah emerging from flames of gold, orange, and deep crimson. His mane radiates with the brilliance of divine glory—golds that speak of His nature, and burning reds that reveal the intensity of His love.

His eyes are steady, unwavering.

And within them, fire.

A small flame burns in each eye—intentional, alive—reflecting the reality of the fiery trials His beloved walk through, and the truth that He is not distant from them.

He is in the fire with you.

The Encounter

This piece was birthed during one of the most painful seasons of my life.

My son was caught in a cycle of imprisonment and addiction, and I felt as though I was walking through fire myself—uncertain if I would survive the weight of it.

While on the phone with him during one of his times in prison, I began painting.

My mind was engaged in the conversation—but my hands were being led by the Holy Spirit.

I layered gold into the mane… then orange… then deep, rich reds—revealing the fire of God’s jealous love.

At the very end, without intention or planning, I painted a small flame of fire into each of the lion’s eyes.

In that moment, I knew:

This was not just a painting.

It was an encounter.

His Gaze Is On You

In the midst of deep despair, the Lord spoke to me:

“Beloved, look into My eyes, and you will see fire.

This fire is the reflection of your fiery trial.

I AM jealous for your love.

My gaze is on you because I love you.

You are Mine, and I am yours—forever.”

Everything shifted.

I realized He was not distant from my pain—He was present within it.

Watching. Covering. Loving.

And He loved my son just as fiercely.

The Meaning of the Fire

The fire is not meant to destroy you.

It is meant to refine you.

To purify what cannot remain.

To reveal the glory of God within you.

Scripture reminds us:

“Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial… but rejoice… that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy.” — 1 Peter 4:12–13

And:

“To give them beauty for ashes… the oil of joy for mourning… the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness.” — Isaiah 61:3

A Living Testimony

Today, I can tell you with a full heart:

My son is restored.

He has been sober for many years. His life, his family, and his future have been redeemed by the faithfulness of God.

This piece stands as a testimony:

The fire did not destroy—it revealed His faithfulness.

His gaze is on you.

His love is not distant.

And He will bring beauty from ashes.

God is faithful.
