New Wine

"Look, I am about to send you grain, new wine, and olive oil. You will be satiated with them, and I will no longer make you a disgrace among the nations."

The Story Behind the Image

This vibrant digital painting depicts the Lion of Judah, our King Jesus, surrounded by lush clusters of purple and blue grapes hanging heavy on the vine. The lion is bathed in radiant golden light, His majestic face gazing forward with strength and tenderness. The rich colors—deep purples, brilliant golds, and soft greens—create a scene of abundance, fruitfulness, and the promise of harvest time.

The inscription declares Joel 2:19: "The LORD answered His people: Look, I am about to send you grain, new wine, and olive oil. You will be satiated with them, and I will no longer make you a disgrace among the nations."

This is the promise of new wine—the outpouring of God's abundance, the restoration of what was lost, and the removal of disgrace from His people.

The Vineyard of the King

The vineyard is one of the most powerful symbols in Scripture. It represents God's people, His covenant relationship with Israel, and the fruitfulness that comes from abiding in Him. Jesus declared in John 15:5, "I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit."

The Lion of Judah in the vineyard represents the King dwelling among His people, tending the vine, and bringing forth the harvest of His promises. He is not distant—He is present in the vineyard, watching over the fruit, ensuring the harvest, and preparing to pour out the new wine.

Harvest Time

The clusters of grapes hanging heavy on the vine represent harvest time—a season of abundance, restoration, and the fulfillment of God's promises. This is not a season of lack or barrenness—this is a season of overflow.

Joel 2:19 is God's response to the cry of His people. After a season of devastation, drought, and disgrace, God declares: "Look, I am about to send you grain, new wine, and olive oil." This is the promise of restoration, provision, and the removal of shame.

The new wine represents the fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit, the joy of the Lord, and the abundance that comes from walking in covenant relationship with God. It is the wine of celebration, the wine of blessing, and the wine of the Kingdom.

Satiated and Restored

God promises that His people will be satiated—fully satisfied, abundantly filled, lacking nothing. The disgrace that once marked them will be removed, and they will stand as a testimony to the faithfulness of God among the nations.

This is the heart of the Father—to restore what was lost, to pour out abundance where there was lack, and to bring His people into a season of fruitfulness and joy.

The Best New Wine

Jesus performed His first miracle at the wedding in Cana by turning water into wine. And it wasn't just any wine—it was the best wine, saved for last. The master of the banquet declared in John 2:10, "Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now."

This is the promise of the new wine—God is saving the best for now. The best outpouring, the best harvest, the best season of fruitfulness is coming. The King is in His vineyard, and it is harvest time.

This image is a declaration: The Lion is in the vineyard. The grapes are ripe. The new wine is being poured out. And you will be satiated with His abundance.
