Glory On Shiloh

Glory on Shiloh

Stand upon covenant ground and behold the promise that still resounds through the hills of Samaria.

The Story Behind the Image

This prophetic artwork depicts a woman in a flowing white gown standing on the ancient hills of Shiloh, her arms outstretched in worship as golden light floods the landscape. The scene is bathed in the warm glow of sunset, illuminating the vineyards, olive groves, and mountains of Samaria—the very land where God's covenant promises were first spoken and where they will ultimately be fulfilled.

The inscription declares Isaiah 44:23: "Sing with joy, you heavens, because the LORD has done this. Rejoice, you deep places of the earth. Break into shouts of joy, you mountains, you forests and every tree in them. The LORD has reclaimed Jacob. He will display his glory in Israel."

This piece weaves together my original photography of ancient Shiloh—the place where the Tabernacle once dwelled and the presence of God rested among His people—with the vineyards and mountains of Samaria and original photography of my daughter dancing in worship at another location.

"Until Shiloh comes" speaks of Messiah—the One to whom the scepter belongs (Genesis 49:10). Shiloh was once the dwelling place of the Presence in Israel. Though history has known exile and scattering, the covenant has never been revoked. The land still carries promise. The restoration of Israel is not political—it is a prophetic promise rooted in the unchanging Word of God.

The woman in white represents the Bride of Christ—watchful, prepared, and filled with oil like the wise virgins in Matthew 25. She stands on covenant ground, not in her own strength, but in the strength of the One who has called her. She is aligned with heaven's timeline, moving in purity, devotion, and hope as she prepares for the return of her King.

The golden light flooding the landscape represents the glory of God returning to the land. Isaiah prophesied that the Lord would reclaim Jacob and display His glory in Israel. This is not just a historical promise—it is a present and future reality. God's glory is returning. His purposes are unfolding. His covenant is being fulfilled.

The vineyards and olive groves represent fruitfulness, abundance, and the restoration of what was once desolate. The land that was barren is blooming again. The people who were scattered are being gathered. The glory that departed is returning.

This image declares that covenant stands, Messiah reigns, and Israel's story is still unfolding according to divine promise.

"The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler's staff from between his feet, until he to whom it belongs shall come and the obedience of the nations shall be his." — Genesis 49:10

"At midnight the cry rang out: 'Here's the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!'" — Matthew 25:6

"Sing for joy, you heavens, for the LORD has done this; shout aloud, you earth beneath. Burst into song, you mountains, you forests and all your trees, for the LORD has redeemed Jacob, he displays his glory in Israel." — Isaiah 44:23

May this image awaken hunger within you and anchor your heart in seeking God's glory in your personal walk with Him.
