Fan The Flame

"For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you."

The Story Behind the Image

This radiant prophetic art depicts a woman in passionate worship, her arms lifted high as she dances with silk worship flags that blaze with golden and crimson light. The flags swirl and flow around her in motion, and the fiery glory of God is falling upon her—golden light cascading over her, flames of red and orange surrounding her, and the tangible presence of the Holy Spirit consuming everything in its path.

She is not just waving flags—she is fanning the flame, stirring up the gift of God within her, and releasing the fire of worship that ignites the atmosphere and draws down the glory of heaven.

This is worship that sets the heart ablaze, that refuses to let the fire die down, and that fans the flame until the glory of God fills the room.

Fan Into Flame

2 Timothy 1:6 declares, "For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands."

The word "fan into flame" in Greek is anazōpureō—it means to rekindle, stir up, and keep burning. It's the image of taking embers that are still glowing and blowing on them, adding fuel, and causing them to burst into flame again.

The woman in this image is fanning the flame. She is not letting the fire die. She is not allowing the passion to fade. She is stirring up the gift, releasing worship, and keeping the fire burning through extravagant, abandoned praise.

Worship with Flags

The silk worship flags in her hands are not just beautiful—they are prophetic tools of warfare and worship. In Scripture, banners and flags were used to declare victory, establish territory, and rally the troops. Exodus 17:15 says, "The LORD is my Banner" (Jehovah Nissi).

When you lift a flag in worship, you are declaring the victory of the Lord, establishing His presence in the atmosphere, and releasing the prophetic word that He has given you. The movement of the flags represents the wind of the Holy Spirit, the flow of His presence, and the freedom that comes from abandoned worship.

The golden and crimson flags represent the glory and the blood—the glory of God's presence and the blood of Jesus that has purchased our freedom to worship.

The Fiery Glory of God

The golden and red flames surrounding the woman represent the fiery glory of God falling upon her. This is not symbolic fire—this is the manifest presence of the Holy Spirit, the consuming fire of God that purifies, empowers, and transforms.

Hebrews 12:29 declares, "For our God is a consuming fire." When the fire of God falls, everything that is not of Him is burned away, and everything that is of Him is ignited and empowered.

The woman is not afraid of the fire—she is welcoming it, inviting it, and fanning it into flame through her worship. She knows that the fire is not meant to destroy her—it is meant to refine her, empower her, and fill her with the glory of God.

Lost in Worship

The blurred, motion-filled quality of the image captures the abandon and intensity of her worship. She is not performing. She is not self-conscious. She is lost in the presence of God, moving with the flow of the Spirit, and releasing everything she has in worship to Jesus.

This is the kind of worship that breaks through, that shifts atmospheres, and that draws down the glory of God. This is worship that doesn't hold back, that doesn't care what it looks like, and that is fully abandoned to the One who is worthy.

Worshipping Jesus

At the center of this image is Jesus. The woman is not worshipping the experience. She is not worshipping the fire. She is worshipping Jesus—the Lamb who was slain, the Lion who has triumphed, and the King who is worthy of all praise.

Revelation 5:12 declares, "Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!"

This is the heart of the worshiper—Jesus is worthy. And when you worship Him with everything you have, when you fan the flame and release extravagant praise, His glory falls.

Keep the Fire Burning

This image is a call: Don't let the fire die. Fan the flame. Stir up the gift. And worship with everything you have.

The enemy wants to extinguish the fire. The world wants to distract you. The flesh wants to grow cold. But you have the power to fan the flame—through worship, through prayer, through obedience, and through refusing to let the passion fade.

Leviticus 6:13 commands, "The fire must be kept burning on the altar continuously; it must not go out."

Keep the fire burning. Fan the flame. And let the glory of God fall.
